THINK OF IT AS Switzer Land, a theme park for the railfan. Trains of different sizes go everywhere, taking you to
different parts of Switzer Land: Wine Land (the Rhone Valley), Cheese Land (Emmental, Gruyere and Appenzell),
Narrow Gauge Land, and The Real Matterhorn and all of it looks like Heidi Land.
Switzer Land has quaint villages and sophisticated cities, and shopping that outclasses anything you’ll find in an American theme park. There are innumerable restaurants, and the train rides won’t do to your lunch what amusement park rides do. The park staff are helpful and speak several languages, often including English.
